Description
What is the darkest place you have ever been at? For me it was last year at Great Basin NP. It not only is a Bortle 1 site or in other words, as dark as it can get, it also is located at an elevation of 9,886 feet (3,013 meters), which guarantees excellent transparency.
Unfortunately, this astronomy paradise proved to be very wind too and I severly doubted if I would be able to capture anything usble.
I am however happy how this image turned out. Despite the breezy conditions the sharpness is good and the strong airglow adds another layer of color to the sky.
