I took it in a remote place above Grindelwald in the Siwss Alps. Milky Way is rising behind Mt. Wetterhorn. You can check the clouds dissolving around this very prominent peak in my time lapse on my flickr account: flic.kr/p/X6w6oF and you will know that it is very aptly named "Weather-Peak".
On the right is Mt. Eiger with its famous 1,800m (5,900 ft) high north face. The light in middle of the north face is the station "Eigerwand" ("Eiger-Wall") of the Jungfrau Railway. Also visible is the light of the "Mittellegi Hut" on the eastern ridge of Eiger.
Above all are the colorful stars are shining in their eternal beauty...
As a landscape photographer and pilot I have the privilege to travel the world and visit some of the most beautiful places on our planet. I started photography as an astro-photographer, which still shows in my passion for nightscapes.
